Type Soul Fullbringer Guide: All Progression Phases Explained

Fullbringers in Type Soul may be rough around the edges, but their unique and powerful abilities make the grind worthwhile. Here’s a full breakdown of how to unlock and master them.

Four stylized Fullbringer characters from Type Soul stand side by side in a vibrant, anime-inspired promo image. Each character features a unique design, with glowing effects and bold colors, set against a cosmic backdrop with the Type Soul logo prominently displayed in the center.

Fullbringer is one of the most exciting yet underdeveloped races in Type Soul, offering some of the most creative abilities in the game. While it’s still being refined, the core experience is surprisingly rewarding—especially for players who want a break from the standard Shinigami or Hollow grind.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through every stage of Fullbringer progression, from the moment you spawn to reaching Elite Grade and beyond.

Phase 1: From Fresh Spawn to Grade 2

When you first enter the game as a Fullbringer, your main objective is simple: complete Mission Board quests and grip NPCs to raise your XP bar. You’ll find your progression bar at the bottom of the screen.

Steps to Follow:

  • Open the Mission Board
  • Complete available quests
  • Grip NPCs after combat to earn progression

This phase doesn’t take long. With consistent grinding—especially missions that involve combat—you should hit Grade 2 within 10 to 20 minutes.

Phase 2: Unlocking Your Fullbring Element

Once you hit Grade 2, you’ll unlock your Fullbring Element—your unique fighting style. This gives you access to three core moves, putting you ahead of some other races in terms of versatility right from the start.

Available Fullbring Elements:

  • Time Tells No Lies
  • Book of the End
  • Zangetsu
  • Dollhouse
  • Chest
  • Devil’s Arm

Each one offers a distinct playstyle, with Time Tells No Lies being a fan-favorite for its utility and damage output.

Important Note:

You can’t use weapon rerolls as a Fullbringer. Instead, your weapon is tied to your element, and you’ll need element rerolls if you want to change it. This limits customization but adds thematic consistency.

Phase 3: Getting Your Fullbring Element (Meditation Quest)

Once you’ve reached Grade 2, it’s time to begin the meditation questline to unlock your Fullbring powers.

Steps to Begin:

  1. Travel to Fake Karakura Town (you can use the Execution teleport).
  2. Press the comma key ( , ) to open the UI.
  3. Locate and speak with Ginjo.

Ginjo will give you a mission that involves completing quests and meditating after killing enemies.

How to Meditate:

  • Kill an NPC with your weapon drawn.
  • Press M to meditate.
  • Fill the purple bar on the right side of your screen.
  • Once full, press M to exit.
  • Press M again to enter your Inner Realm.

Phase 4: Inner Realm Combat Trial

In the Inner Realm, you’ll face off against waves of enemies in a timed survival challenge. The purple bar now acts as your timer—if it runs out, you fail.

Enemy Waves:

  • Wave 1: 3 Large Friskers, 1 Small Frisker
  • Wave 2: 1 Menos, 3 Friskers
  • Wave 3: Same as Wave 1
  • Wave 4: 1 Adjuchas (final boss)

Combat Tips:

  • Kendo is a reliable style for this trial.
  • Kido users can leverage long-range attacks like Raikōhō to finish off enemies quickly.
  • Don’t stall. If you spend too much time on early waves, you won’t survive the final boss.

After defeating all enemies, speak to your inner soul to officially unlock your Fullbring Element.

Phase 5: Progressing to Elite Grade

This is the smoothest part of the Fullbringer grind.

What to Do:

  • Continue farming Mission Board quests
  • Grip NPCs
  • Monitor your XP bar

There are no hidden steps here. Just keep repeating missions and fights. Reaching Elite Grade from Grade 2 can take as little as 20 minutes, so now’s a great time to push through before any future patches nerf XP gain.

Phase 6: Unlocking True Form (Currently Unavailable)

The Fullbringer’s True Form—comparable to a Shinigami’s Bankai—is currently disabled due to Ranked and Raid modes being offline. Once these modes return, here’s what the unlock process will likely look like:

Stage 1:

  • Must be Elite Grade
  • Win 13 Raids or 26 Ranked Matches

Stage 2:

  • Kill 1 Bawabawa Boss
  • Defeat 80 Hollows
  • Defeat 15 Elite Grip Players

Stage 3:

  • Complete a minigame (details not yet revealed)

Final Thoughts

While Fullbringer is still undergoing refinement in Type Soul, the gameplay loop is tight and the reward for completion is substantial. From unique elemental styles to a quick path to Elite Grade, this is a great option for players who want something different—just be ready for some early-game grinding.
