Roblox Teen Council 2026 Applications Are Finally Open

If you’re a teenager who spends way too much time on Roblox (and maybe secretly wishes you could help make it better), now’s your chance because the applications for the 2026 Roblox Teen Council are officially open.

This isn’t just some PR stunt. The Teen Council is Roblox’s way of letting teens actually shape the platform they spend so much time on. The first version of this council ran earlier this year with just 14 teens from the U.S., and apparently it went well enough that Roblox is expanding it. This time, teens from Canada and Mexico can apply too.

What do council members actually do? They meet virtually with Roblox staff, give feedback on things like safety features, privacy tools, and content filters, and brainstorm ways to make Roblox a friendlier place. There’s a big focus on mental health, civility, and community which, honestly, feels like something the internet desperately needs more of right now.

Applicants need to be between 14 and 17, live in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, and have a decent internet connection so they can join regular online meetings. No fancy resume required; just some short answers about why you want to join and what you care about. You can apply through Roblox’s official Google Form, but you have to get it in by September 29 at midnight PDT.

Yes, it’s competitive, but if you make it in, you’ll get direct input into a platform used by nearly 80 million people every day. That’s not just cool, that’s a real chance to shape the future of online gaming. You’ll also build communication skills, meet Roblox’s internal teams, and probably make a few new friends who care about the same things you do.

No, you don’t get paid but it’s the kind of thing that will look great on a college application and could help make Roblox safer for everyone.

If this sounds like your thing, go apply. And if you’re a parent reading this, maybe give your teen a little nudge. This is one of those rare moments where a gaming company is asking kids to have a voice and they might actually listen.
