Roblox Might Be Expanding to New Devices, Including AR Goggles and Handhelds

New platforms support!

So, Roblox might be coming to handhelds. And maybe AR goggles. Yeah, I had to read that twice too.

This came up during a Q&A when someone asked Roblox CEO David Baszucki if he’d ever want to see a handheld gaming device made just for Roblox, maybe under $150. His answer? Basically “we’re not going to make our own console, but… stay tuned.”

“There’s obviously one device we’re not on right now that’s handheld. Stay tuned on that.”

That feels like a hint, right? Like he knows something. And honestly, if Roblox shows up on a handheld platform, that could be massive. Imagine taking Roblox with you without having to pull out your phone or deal with touch controls. A Switch, a Steam Deck, maybe even a dedicated Roblox handheld if someone out there wants to build one.

He didn’t stop there. Baszucki started talking about other devices too. TV devices, AR goggles, and even joked about a future where Roblox is beamed straight into your brain with some weird sci-fi neck gadget. He’s not kidding when he says Roblox wants to be everywhere.

And you know what? I kind of love that. Roblox is at its best when it feels like a place you can just drop into whenever you want, no matter where you are. Having it on more devices just means more moments where you can jump into a game with friends or build something new without having to wait until you get back to your PC.

Obviously, Roblox has to think about whether enough people actually own these devices before committing. But they’ve been pretty fast about expanding lately (they just launched on VR headsets), so I wouldn’t be shocked if we get some big announcement soon.
