Looks like Discord and Roblox are finally teaming up in a way people have been asking for forever. As of late August 2025, Discord has started rolling out a new rich presence integration that actually shows the specific Roblox experience you’re playing in your status.
No more vague “Playing Roblox” with nothing else. Now your friends can see if you’re building in Bloxburg, sweating in Arsenal, or hanging out in some random obby.
If you’ve seen the screenshots floating around, it’s pretty slick: Roblox logo + the game’s name right in your status (example: “Roblox – Arsenal”). The game’s thumbnail or icon.

How long you’ve been in the experience (it’ll show “0:21” if you just joined, or “10:16:57” if you’ve been grinding all day).
A little “Play” button so friends can instantly hop into your server. Basically, the same kind of stuff PC games like Minecraft or Valorant have had on Discord for years. And the best part? No third-party mods needed. People used to rely on things like Bloxstrap to get this working, but now it’s baked right into Discord and Roblox.
If you’re not seeing it yet, here’s what you can try: In Discord, go to Settings > Connections and link your Roblox account (this option’s been around since 2024, so you might already have it). Head to Settings > Activity Status and make sure “Display current activity as a status message” is switched on.
Launch Roblox and hop into a game. If the feature’s live for you, it’ll show the exact game details automatically. If it doesn’t show up yet, don’t stress. It’s rolling out slowly, so it might just not have hit your account yet. Restarting Discord and Roblox sometimes helps, but really it’s on their servers.
Right now it’s a little inconsistent. Some people say it only works with certain big-name experiences like Bloxburg or Arsenal, while others still just show up as “Playing Roblox.” Could be that developers need to flip something on their end, or maybe Roblox is just testing with a handful of games first.
Also, no official announcement yet from Discord or Roblox as of September 1st. All the info we’ve got comes from user screenshots and community reports. That said, John Shedletsky (yep, the former Roblox creative director) did confirm it’s legit, so this isn’t just a rumor.
So far, the feature’s been spotted mostly on desktop (Windows/Mac). It should technically work anywhere Discord can detect Roblox activity, but mobile Roblox sessions don’t always trigger it consistently.
