So if you’re trying to get into the Luminescent Cavern in Fisch, let me save you a couple headaches because I stumbled around in the dark for way too long before I figured it out. It’s not like the game just hands it to you. You’ve got to go collect a bunch of keystones, deal with the Desolate Deep, and then finally you’ll get in. Here’s how I managed to unlock Luminescent Cavern in Fisch.
Fisch Luminescent Cavern Guide
Step one: Desolate Deep
Spawn your boat and sail straight to the Desolate Deep. This place is… well, it lives up to its name. Dark, confusing, and the kind of spot where you start to question why you didn’t bring snacks before diving in. Before you jump, make sure you’ve got your diving gear and flippers on. I forgot the flippers the first time and I swear it felt like I was moving slower than a snail.
When you’re down there, you’re looking for something called the Mysterious Crack. That’s the door to the new cavern. Of course, it doesn’t just open. You’ve got to feed it three keystones.
Step two: Keystone hunting
There are three of them. Sun, Fossil, and Volcano. The game does a decent job hinting where they are, but it still feels like a scavenger hunt.
- Sun Keystone is over on Sunstone Island. Took me a few minutes to find mine since it’s randomly placed, but once you spot it you’ll know. Just walk up and grab it.
- Fossil Keystone had me scratching my head. I thought it was at Forsaken Shores at first (don’t bother checking there). It’s actually at Ancient Isle. Once I got there, I found it pretty quick.
- Volcano Keystone is, no surprise, inside the volcano area. Just head to the middle island and it’s sitting there waiting. Easy one compared to the others.
I’ll be real, it feels a bit like busywork, but at least each island has its own vibe so you’re not just staring at rocks the whole time.
Step three: Back to the crack
Once you’ve got all three, head back into the Desolate Deep. Slot each one into its pedestal around the Mysterious Crack. Watching it actually open up after all that collecting feels great. I had a moment of “finally, no more random swimming around blind.”
Step four: The weird river ride
So once it’s open, you get taken down this Mysterious River. At first I thought I had to steer something, but no, you just sit there and let the platform do the work. It’s a little awkward but kind of cool too, like a lazy river ride in the middle of the darkest part of the game.
Step five: Luminescent Cavern at last
And then you’re in. The Luminescent Cavern looks awesome compared to the depressing Desolate Deep. It’s bright, glowing, and feels like a reward after slogging through all that nonsense. I’ll admit, I was a bit annoyed during the cosmic events that make everything pitch black, but once you step into the cavern, it makes it worth it.
Unlocking this place isn’t complicated once you know what to do, but the game doesn’t exactly hold your hand. I kind of like that though. It felt like I actually earned it instead of just teleporting into a new zone. Just be ready for a bit of wandering and a lot of swimming.
