If you’ve been playing Fisch for a while, you probably know the grind can get real once you hit late-game. The ONIRIFALX rod is pretty much the holy grail of rods as it features crazy fast progress speed, insane mutation chance, and just an overall beast when it comes to farming rare catches and stacking C$/E$. But let’s be honest: it’s not just handed to you. You’ve got to earn it.
I’ll walk you through exactly how to get ONIRIFALX Rod in Fisch, and I’ll throw in some tips from experience to save you from hours of fishing frustration.
Fisch ONIRIFALX Rod Guide
First: Get to The Depths
Before you even think about ONIRIFALX, you need to unlock The Depths. If you haven’t yet, you’ll be grinding through zones until you can get the Rod of the Depths and survive down there. Once you make it, look for Nick. He’s hanging out behind where you get the Rod of the Depths.
Talk to him. He gives you three quests. Two of them are locked behind levels, so if you’re not at least 500 yet, you might as well focus on leveling first.
Quest 1: The Charred Boot
Nick’s first request is honestly pretty funny. He just wants a Charred Boot.
Grab your Zeus Rod, wait for its Thunderstorm ability to go off, and fish until you get a Boot with the Charred mutation. It’s about a 10 percent chance, so you might be there for a bit but it’s not bad. Bring it back to him and you’re done.
Quest 2: Wrath Scylla (Level 500 Required)
This is where it starts to get grindy. You need to be level 500 to even start it.
Head over to the Veil of Forsaken and start fishing for Scylla. They’re rare, so get comfy. Once you catch one, you have to give it the Wrath mutation. You can either use a Poseidon’s Wrath Totem or the Rod of the Zenith if you’ve got it. When you finally get a Wrath Scylla, hand it over to Nick.
Quest 3: The Triple-Mutated Floppy (Level 1000 Required)
This quest is where people lose their patience. You need to be level 1000 to even start.
You’re looking for a Floppy with three mutations: Wrath, Shiny, and Sparkling.
- Wrath is the same as before (Totem or Zenith rod)
- Shiny needs a Blessed Enchant or you can try to fish during events like Night of the Luminous
- Sparkling also needs Blessed Enchant
It’s not the catching that’s hard, it’s the RNG. You might get two mutations right away and then spend hours waiting for the third to roll. If you’re tired of fishing for hours, trade with other players. Seriously. It’ll save you a lot of frustration.
Once you finally get the triple-mutated Floppy, take it back to Nick. He’ll hand over the ONIRIFALX and you can finally feel like you’ve beaten the game.
Why It’s Worth It
The ONIRIFALX is stupidly strong.
- Progress speed is up by 70 percent
- Lure speed is super high
- Luck and mutation chance are amazing
- Perfect catches give you a momentum boost that stacks up to 120 percent progress speed
The downside is its resilience is basically negative infinity but honestly you won’t care because of how fast it catches everything.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting
- Prep your gear ahead of time. Get your Zeus Rod, Zenith Rod, and totems ready before you even talk to Nick.
- Don’t suffer alone. If you’re stuck, go to the Fisch Discord or find a trading hub. There’s always someone willing to trade.
- The last quest is going to test your patience. Put on some music, hang out with friends, whatever it takes.
