Wondering how to catch Golden Carp in Blox Fruits?. You’ve probably heard about it if you’ve done a fishing tournament or just messed around with the fishing system. It’s that shiny gold fish that looks important, and in some events they actually ask you to catch a few of them. The good news is it’s not rare at all. You don’t need to wait for full moon nonsense or special spawns. If you’ve got a rod and some bait, you can catch it. Simple as that.
Here’s how I managed to catch Golden Carp in Blox Fruits.
Blox Fruits Golden Carp Guide
First, grab a rod
If you’re new to fishing, go talk to the Fisherman in Port Town (First Sea). He literally hands you a Basic Rod for free. No excuses. That rod will catch Golden Carp just fine, but honestly, it feels a little slow if you’re planning to fish a lot.
I upgraded to the Gold Rod after a while. You have to grind 10 Angler quests and then craft it with some planks, scrap, and a chunk of Beli. It’s not game changing but it does make catching stuff like Golden Carp feel smoother. Later there’s the Shark Rod in the Second Sea if you’re really into fishing, but unless you’re living in tournaments, the Basic or Gold Rod works.
Honestly, don’t overthink this part. Just start fishing with whatever rod you have.
Don’t forget bait
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked up to the water, ready to fish, and then realized I had zero bait. Feels bad.
You start with 10 Basic Baits, which disappear faster than you think. You can buy more from the Fisherman or Angler NPCs. And for Golden Carp, you don’t need anything fancy. Basic bait is fine. Kelp or Good Bait works too. Save the expensive stuff for when you’re chasing something rarer, because wasting Corrupted Bait on a Golden Carp is just… painful.
Where to fish
This one’s easy: anywhere with water. I usually hang around Port Town when I’m in the First Sea or Green Zone if I’m in the Second Sea, just because they’re convenient.
One tip though: fish near other players if you can. You actually get a little luck bonus if people are nearby. Plus, it makes the whole thing feel less grindy when you’re chatting or competing with friends.
The fishing itself
So you cast your line, wait for the red exclamation mark, and then click fast to hook. That part’s simple. The tricky bit is the minigame where you have to keep the moving fish icon inside your box. Don’t let it escape or the line snaps. The first time I did it, I completely panicked and lost like three baits in a row. It gets easier, though. After a couple of catches you’ll get the rhythm down.
Golden Carp shows up pretty often, so don’t worry if your first pull is something random like Seaweed Fish. Just keep at it, it’ll come.
What I do with Golden Carp
If it’s a tournament, I hold onto them, obviously. If it’s not, I usually just sell extras to the Fisherman for some Beli. Not the best money maker in the game, but hey, it’s free cash. Sometimes I keep a couple in my stash just because they look cool.
