Blox Fruits: All Fishing Rods and How To Get Them

There are a total of six rods!

All Fishing Rods in Blox Fruits and How To Get Them

Fishing was added in Blox Fruits with Update 27.1 and I’ve been hooked (literally) ever since. This is one of those updates that feels small at first, but once you get into it, you realize there’s way more depth than just sitting by the water waiting for fish to bite. You can pull up fish, treasure chests, even Devil Fruits if you’re lucky. And the real secret to catching the good stuff? Getting better rods.

There are six fishing rods right now and each one makes you better at catching rare fish and finding cooler rewards. Some are easy, some are a grind, and one of them made me question all my life choices. Here’s how I got all the rods in Blox Fruits and what you should know before you start grinding.

Blox Fruits Fishing Rods Guide

Blox Fruits Fishing Rods Guide

Before you start dreaming about legendary rods, you need to pick up the first one. Go talk to any Fisherman NPC. The one at Port Town Docks (Third Sea) is super easy to find. They’ll give you a basic rod and 10 bait for free.

After that, just find some water, equip the rod, and cast. It’s that simple. Your rod has its own Mastery level that caps at 100. Leveling it up is worth it because some of the better rods won’t even unlock unless you have Mastery and the previous rod equipped.

If you’re serious about this, always keep your best rod on. Even catching trash fish will get you closer to unlocking the next tier.

All Rod NPCs Locations

You’re going to get very familiar with Angler NPCs because they’re the ones who give you the Trust Quests you need to unlock new rods.

  • First Sea: Skylands
  • Second Sea: Green Zone docks
  • Third Sea: Hydra Island (near the Hydra Enforcers)

You’ll probably end up bouncing between these spots a bunch. Get used to the travel.

Basic Fishing Rod

You just talk to a Fisherman NPC and boom, you’ve got it. Costs nothing. It’s basically a stick with string, but it does the job.

Gold Rod

This is where things get slightly grindy. You need to do 10 Trust Quests from the Skylands Angler in the First Sea. Then you pay 500k Beli, plus 4 Wooden Planks and 3 Scrap Metals.

It’s not too bad, honestly. This is the first time you’ll notice that rare fish aren’t impossible to catch anymore.

Shell Rod

This one is from Hydra Island in the Third Sea. Do 40 Trust Quests for the Angler there, then craft it with 2 mil Beli, 8 Shells, and 12 Sea Crystals.

This is where fishing actually starts to feel rewarding. You catch rare fish way more often, and you need this rod to move forward anyway.

Shark Rod

This is unlocked through the Second Sea Angler in Green Zone. Expect to catch 50+ specific fish and run a few extra quests. Then you pay 1.5 mil Beli, 6 Shark Teeth, and 5 Iron Ingots.

I won’t lie, this one annoyed me a bit. The drop rate for Shark Teeth can feel painful, but once you get this rod, it’s solid.

Treasure Rod

This one is for the grinders. You need 60+ Trust Quests across the Second and Third Seas, plus you have to have the Shell Rod equipped when you unlock it.

The materials are rough too:

  • 5 mil Beli
  • 10 Golden Keys
  • 15 Pearls
  • 20 Scrap Metals

The grind is worth it though. This is the first rod where you’ll start pulling Devil Fruits semi-regularly, which feels amazing.

Corrupted Shark Rod

This is the final boss of fishing rods. Go to the Whirlpool on Chocolate Island in the Second Sea and start catching Corrupted Fish. You need 100 of them.

Yes, it takes a while. Yes, it’s annoying. But once you trade them to the Corrupted Fisherman NPC, you get the legendary rod and suddenly fishing feels broken (in a good way).

How To Enchant Rods in Blox Fruits

Once you have a rod you like, visit the Dragon Talon Sage NPC and start enchanting. You can make your rod bite faster, last longer, and give you better rare catch rates. Trust me, this saves so much time if you’re farming for Corrupted Fish or rare mats.
